 A really good thermo, 2010-07-02
I must admit that I have not owned a therm before, so I wasn't 100% sure what to expect. I've used it to store coffee for really long library revision sessions at night and this therm has been capable to keep my coffee at a very good temperature through all-nighters. In fact it kept the coffee hot so well that if I wanted to have some during the first couple of hours I had to leave it in the top/cup to cool down for a bit.
To test it out the day that I got it I put just boiled water inside at night and checked in the morning. It stayed there for at least 10 to 12 hours and even though the water was probably not hot enough to make some tea it was hot enough that I could not keep my finger inside for more than a few seconds.
The bottle is taller than normal 0.5l water bottles, it has a total volume close to a 1l water bottle although the thickness is in-between a half a little and a little bottle, but you get the measurements from the details so there is no surprise there.

A nice looking flask.No silvery glass inside, just metal.
Lets get down to it.....test...
Saturday noon - filled with boiling water.
3 hours later - opened it, still at boiling temperature.
I then forgot about it till this morning 7.00am - 19 hours later.
Opened it - still very hot.Could only leave my finger in for a second.
Not much more I can say.Recommended.

Ordered this so that I could make a hot drink just once at work and treat myself again later in the day.
Keeps the heat in well - and the cold as well, as it kept flavoured milk cool overnight without refrigeration. Very sturdy and should stand up to a lot of travelling.
My only minor complaint is that with the stopper in, the flask doesn't quite store 0.5l - more like 0.45l, so make a note if you're planning to pour bought drinks into it.

Nice and compact and easy to use, but hot liquid does cool down quite a bit over a few hours.
