One bad review almost put me off but fortunately I finally decided to buy it. It's a fantastic adventure to create your own bread. You get with this machine Kenwood recipe book, I use just the first very easy recipe and modify it for example by adding some bran, oats, rosemary, garlic, flaxseed or soya. When I add something I use the wholemeal program (3). Recently I made leavening and used it instead of yeast the bread was delicious.

First ever review but I was nearly put off by some of the bad reviews this prodcut has got. I decided to just take the risk and buy it because it was n sale, I am very pleased that I did.
Bread making is now so simple. Every time I have used it the results have been great.
It comes with useful measuring accessories that I did not expect but they work great.
Sme people have given negative reviews about the instructions but I got a black and white book that tells you everything you need to know and is very simple to follow. I also got a full colour book with all recipes and cooking times explained. Both are only in English so maybe Kenwood have reacted to previous feedback.
I must say that the one down side is the 58 minute quick bake. Because of the extra yeast you have to use I personally do not like the taste and this is the only cycle when there has been bits of unmixed flour on the bottom. But if you use the 3 hour recipes the results are excellent on all weights.
People have also complained about the mixing paddle getting stuck. The bread bakes around the paddle, a feature of all breadmakers I assume, so the paddle is inside the bread once baked. However, it had never got stuck once and just causes a very small hole in the bottom when the bread is turned out.
It is easy to use and I am very happy with it.

The breadmaker certainly takes all the hard work out of making bread! The small hole left by the dough paddle doesn't really affect the appearance and certainly doesn't affect the taste! Only one criticism - the instruction books could be made a little easier to follow. Overall a great product at a good price. Hope it continues to make wonderful bread for years to come!
I mustn't forget the speedy Amazon delivery either! Ordered three items and they all arrived within days! Sometimes things are a little slow getting over to the West of Ireland - but not this time - thanks so much!

I agree with the previous review about the blade being stuck. It also create a huge hole at the bottom of the bread which prevents you from making more than two sandwiches per loaf. It has a lot of programmes but comes with only 3 or 4 recipes. The Kenwood website provides recipes for all their breadmakers, which makes it tricky to choose the right one..The other down point is that the bottom of the bread always comes overcooked, even when you set the lightest crust option..Not as good as what you'd expect from Kenwood.
