I like fixed baskets, no bottoms falling out as the lugs break with resultant contents spilled.
So easy to clean - who needs to put it in a dishwasher!
I especially stacking baskets and being able to use the lid to stand the baskets on while draining and also the easy use of stock for gravy. No water level indicator but I don't find that a problem.
I would definitely recommend it.

This is my first steam generator. I did a lot research before buying it, borrowed my friends' to compare them and eventually decided on this model, and so far, I am extremely satisfied with it. It is light and it does exactly what it says on the tin, and although ironing is never a pleasure in my book, it has certainly made the job a lot easier. The only drawback is that the water tank is very dark and it makes it difficult to see the level of water left in it, but it holds enough water for one session.

It is the only available steamer at the moment which has a delay start. I wanted that facility and so I bought this steamer despite the negative comments I have read here and elsewhere about the product.

Having used it a number of times I can report that the delay timer works and the item performs the required steaming function satisfactorily. I have no complaints about the streamer in that regard.

It may not be a highly robust object. Most of these steamers are not.

It stacks for storage quite conveniently and so another positive.

The only objection I would have relates to the clock. I have to set it each time before using the steamer. It does not retain the time information as far as I can see. this is a pity but it is really only a minor inconvenience as it is easy to set the time.

Take this review as a recommendation based on lack of alternatives. I am not, however, very enthusiastically recommending it.

This is an excellent gadget for preparing any number of "one pot" dishes, with capacity to cook a good-sized meal for at least six people. Easy to use and easy to clean, too.

I can't fault this steamer - it does what it says, and does it very well. However after repeatedly washing the baskets of my first one (which I'd had for around 5 years) in the dishwasher over the last year, they became brittle and started to craze and break. I found out replacements can't be bought so after considering other brand/models I decided to buy another one (which I wash by hand).
