I've had one of these that I bought in a chinese supermarket in the mid-90s !!! It's done well until this year when I noticed some of the plastic coming away inside ... This is great. Does what is says on the tin.
Would have been nice if the mains lead was a 'kettle' type so the lead could be removed and the cooker taken to the dinner table and used as a serving bowl.

I needed a rice cooker for sushi (sticky) rice. Unlike long-grain rice, it is best done in a proper rice cooker with tight lid so that it adds pressure while cooking. This one is small but does the job perfectly. If you live in a tiny flat by yourself, this one is great.

Good, no frills cooker, 2009-08-11
This replaced my Tefal which was very good and lasted since the mid 80's but then started getting a little temperamental (switching off early). When I received the Kenwood, I realised that it was identical to the one just re-cycled, except that it had been tarted up a little. Excellent, I look forward to another couple of decades of reliable service. Pity they didn't include the rack for boiling eggs, which was also very useful, luckily, I salvaged the Tefal one from my recycling bin so all is perfect.
