Excellent product, 2010-02-22 Very happy with the Kenwood can & bottle opener. I had an old one that had worn out after about 20 years! Thought it was time to replace it. Same make so they do last a long time.

Very cute and useful!, 2010-02-06 Bought this for my Mum as a little friend for her desk. It looks very cute and has a really powerful suction! It's saved the family from many potential crumb disasters already.

High Speed Slicer/Shredder, 2009-10-14 Thia is one of the bulkier attachments for the Kenwood Chef; it is a lot bigger than you would surmise from the product photograph.
It comes with three attachments; one for chips plus a coarse and fine shredder/grater/slicer. It was very easy to put together, as well as fit to the Kenwood Chef body itself. Cleaning is not too difficult although there are a couple of awkward bits to get to (not impossible).
Slicing and grating is very fast and easy - but noisy! It is also rather messy until you get a bowl of the correct proportions to catch the processed goods before they have a chance to scatter everywhere - the food comes out at such a rate of knots that it is better to have the bowl close to the outlet to avoid the bounce effect. Mind you, that resulted in very happy cats when the cheddar ended up on the floor...
It is an acquired technique as I feel as though I could do with an extra pair of hands to hold a bowl to catch what is produced. A rather large mixing bowl feels a little bit excessive, but I have found that is the best thing to use to catch everything (I am wary of perching a bowl at a height above the work surface).
I have used this just to slice peppers for a salad, which is probably not ideal in terms of the time spent washing it up afterwards, but it really comes into its own when preparing lots of vegetables or grating and slicing blocks of cheese. So much easier than having to empty out the food processor attachment, reassemble and continue to prepare large quantities. I am very pleased with the purchase.

Original Kenwood Chef Plastic Cover to Fit Kenwood Chef Models only.
Cover for Kenwood Chef, 2009-12-31 Love the cover - it's sturdy plastic, not flimsy at all, and will keep my new Kenwood Chef clean and happy for years to come. Brilliant idea - never had one for the old mixer that died a few months ago, and it got very dirty and dusty between uses. Kenwood Chef 29021 Plastic Cover

Fab, 2010-01-15 My husband bought me a KM001 a couple of years ago and after having some money for Christmas I decided to buy this attachment as we eat quite a lot of pasta.
I have now used it twice and I can see that this will be one of those things that is used all the time instead of some of the attachments that sit in a cupboard somewhere.
I have to say that the recipe in the book states mix for about 1 minute, in my experience this is more like a few minutes, it states that the mix should be like breadcrumbs and I have found the more breadcrumb like the mix is the better as it clumps in the machine and takes ages to run through if its too lumpy. My first mix was made to the recipe and it took me a while to get it all through the machine, however todays attempt was much better as I left the mix to run a little longer and got the texture right, in fact it was going through the machine so well I was struggling to keep up with it to keep the pasta in small bite size pieces (I was making rigatone today).
It took me about 30 minutes from start to finish so its ideal if you want something fast and tasty.
My next experiment is to try putting things in the mix, I think the first will be some dried chilli flakes to see how that comes out. I think as long as its something quite dry and finely chopped it should be fine. unless part of the egg is replaced with another wet ingredient such as mustard, etc.
I have to say that I find the cleaning quite theraputic however I can imagine that some people would get quite annoyed with it as they need pricking through to get all of the bits out.
I think macaroni cheese might be my next project.
All in all for me personally this is a fab piece of kit, quick and easy to use and will pay for itself in no time.
Well worth the money.

New to breadmaking, 2010-02-26 I purchased this bread maker because it was recommended by a friend. The recipes in the booklet provided are limited, but good enough to start with. I have now made 6 loaves, and after having one which did not rise, and one which did rise but was like a brick (both tasted wonderful), the third was a success. I have now managed to replicate this success and whilst experimenting and altering the mixes slightly. A bit noisy to start with, so I don't use the delay start. The paddle leaves a very small hole and the bread comes out of the tin easily. I thoroughly recommend this product. I enjoy it so much I have had to put myself on a diet!

excellent results, 2010-02-03 I bought this some time ago but having read some of the negative comments thought I would add my own thoughts. I have made ice cream several times with no problems and recently discovered the joys of frozen yoghurt using this machine. No problems at all, excellent results every time. My son particularly likes banana ice cream. Yes you do need to have a bit of space in the freezer but apart from that it makes the dessert quickly and not too noisily. If you do not eat the ice cream straight away and need to freeze it then yes it is firm when taken out of the freezer but just leave it out for 20 mins prior to serving then problem solved.
I thoroughly recommend this item.
