Great starter mixer - Perfect for kitchens with minimal storage, 2010-05-08
I wanted to get into baking without having to buy an expensive mixer (which to be honest has so many gadgets you'll never use, and are usually quite large to store). I also needed something that stored away using minimal cupboard space as the kitchen is small. I've been so impressed with this and as a result I have even bought one for my friend.

The item is fantastic for occasional baking and the cakes must taste good as I constantly get requests for more. I use mine roughly a couple times a month and couldn't be more pleased with it.

I saw feedback about the paddles not reaching the bottom of the bowl - I've not experienced this at all.

Very good with the 6 speeds being very useful. A little limited by the short length of the beater blades and difficulty in inserting them - this is improving with time.

This is a must if you hate preparing vegetables and grating cheese.

I know this is one of the most expensive attachments for the Chef, but I have found this to be worth every penny. It sits on the fast speed outlet and attaches with relative ease, the only thing that took me a while to figure out was how to take the lid off!

The blades are ultra sharp and I have no doubt that they will remain sharp for the life of the product which itself is well built and should last many years.

The only thing to make people aware of is that this does a very similar job to the processor attachment that comes with the Kenwood Chef Titanium model so if like me you own that model of Chef you may find that you have no use for the two. However, this one is easier to use.

This is a great buy and I reccommend this to all Chef owners.

Had you told me 2 months ago that I'd be the sort of woman who'd get excited over a piece of kitchen equipment, I'd have given you a Very Withering Look. I have, since the purchase of this FP730, seen the light and I cannot sing the praises of this bit of kit highly enough. We now have fresh bread every other day. The biscuit tin is always full. The freezer is full of lusciously liquidised soups. The coleslaw verily overfloweth. The pastry(which I'd never previously dared to make by hand, as I was led to believe that only the properly initiated had access to the arcane knowledge that provides perfection)was a doddle! Pizza crust - yup. I now refuse to buy anything ready made, as I have, with my whizzy electric cauldron, fully embraced my Domestic Goddess.

This is a great machine. Really simple to use and very well designed and built. Arrived really quickly and well packaged. I had a problem with part of the liquidiser and telephoned Kenwood and was sent a new part immediately so again a very good service. A good all rounder to use in the kitchen and my daughter loves making cakes using the machine. All in all a great addition to the kitchen and built to last.
