How to improve a cheap ironing board !, 2010-08-24
I would have really liked a Brabantia ironing board but finances are limited. I have a cheap ironing board and the meshwork pattern was coming through on to the clothes as I ironed. The Brabantia felt pad replacement looked good quality and it is. Ironing is softer and more enjoyable again !

My Mum was told to try Mothballs in the ground to get rid of moles, as they are a nuisance when you are restricted for space and keep falling over the Mole Hills, literally.
The 1st time she applied them to the ground, she happily left them to work. But on returning to the garden she found them on the surface.
She re-applied them in the ground and so far we haven't spotted any new molehills.
If it continues to work I will let you know.

I was a bit sceptical about buying these sponges when I ordered my new George Foreman Grill, but I'm glad I did. After wiping the main residue off with kitchen towel (while the plates are still quite warm), a quick wipe with a damp sponge does the trick. I used to use a dishcloth on my old grill, but that often resulted in burnt fingers! The sponge is far more effective.

This cover was bought to replace our old board cover which had a huge burn on it and was beginning to become very raggy so decided on this. And what can I say WOW very impressed, this was actually the closest one I could find for my size, easy to fit with the tools provided for tightning and the material seems very resistant against burns etc. Overall a great value replacement ironing board cover even for smaller sized boards.
