our previous one purchased in LIDL died during first use;we saw a big ball of fire and that's it!

Waffle maker was great (although not used yet). Box was damaged & looked tatty (but could have been from traveling). There were no instructions of recipes in or on the box so bit of guess work required to use it (going with the obvious first off!).

Used to have Waffle maker from John Lewis, but dropped it, so needed a replacement, did go for a proffesional maker which was great but large and bulky to store. This is great to use kids love the waffles and easy to clean and store.
We use it pretty much everyday and no complaints, remember to keep oiling the plates

Good, with quibbles, 2009-04-26
This machine makes consistently good waffles of a decadent size. Since you can rotate it, they bake uniformly. My quibbles are a) the baking time is quite slow (about 4-5 min), mitigated to some degree because you can do two at a time, and b) it's annoying that there is no automatic alarm when they are done - you have to press a timer button, and when it's done it gives a rather meek beep. If you don't hear the beep or if you forget, chances are high you'll end up burning them.

Really impressed with the quality of this product, it's one of the best kitchen products I have purchased. Waffle batter takes a few minutes to make and once the iron is plugged in you can produce four at a time in minutes. Not only great for weekend breakfasts but great if friends come over. People are really impressed with freshly cooked waffles and they're so easy to make. I used to make pancakes at the weekend occasionally, however waffles are similar and i don't have to slave over a hot stove. I use the recipes from the booklet which comes with the waffle iron, it makes quite a large batch, so either halve the quantities or cover leftover batter and leave it in the fridge. If you have kids, this product is great.
