Really do last ten years., 2010-08-09
I bought these scissors to replace my now chewed up and blunt kitchen devils. These scissors carry a ten year guarantee and my old pair have lasted over 11 years of hard use cutting food packages, fabric, electrical wires, plastic and anything else that I needed to snip. We bought one of these in Yokohama 6 years ago. It just snapped this week, due to bad handling.
It was still the sharpest knife we had, despite being used every day.
So remember not to attack really hard things, and don't bend it too far.
I really don't understand why it's taken so long for them to be available in the UK.
kyocera now market a sharpener too, so the knife should last ages used carefully.

I must be honest; I bought this 18" rack to chop in half, and have then fitted both halves to the end of my kitchen cupboards.
And as such it works really well.
The knives are hidden away on the end of a wall cupboard, easily accessible, and with space for both the larger knives and the smaller ones too.
The prime material is aluminium, so can be cut easily, and then put in countersinks for the screws, attach and voila, two knife storage bars where before there was a useless space.
Love it, really useful, and a great price. (Mine was 10 GBP and free post, so cheaper than some of the others on sale at this time once p&p included.)

If I had another end of cupboard panel, I'd have got another...
