We weren't sure we would get value out of bread making but at just under £40 we though it was worth a try. We have only bought the odd loaf since buying this and it is used three or four times a week.
The paddle does leave a hole in the bread but do I care? No. I would advise getting recipes from other sources than the instruction booklet (I use the forum on Money Saving Expert Old Style Saving) as quite a few of the recipes supplied use far too much sugar leaving the bread much too sweet to have with savoury food.
Simple to use and to clean.
A real boon in our household we would highly recommend this.

I don't cook. But recently, when visiting friends, we were presented with what I thought was excellent, fresh bread. I asked where they had bought it to which they responded that they had made it themselves with a Panasonic bread maker. I decided to buy one but first checked the reviews on Amazon. It has been a real success. Fresh bread every morning. Being only 2 of us we make the smallest size loaf. Definitely worth buying.

I had my Andrew James worktop oven for three months when the bulb blew, I set myself for that difficult phone call which we have to make when we have a problem.
There was absolutely no need to worry, the nice man listened to what I said then, without further ado, told me that a new top would be in the post that very night.

It was and it's great.

Isn't it nice when you get top class service, instead of all that send it back in the original packaging that some shops impose.

I bought the combination oven to replace the one I had previously because it was no longer working, this is the third same brand and type of combination microwave I have bought and each one has been a gem in my kitchen I will stick to this type and brand always as I have never had any real problems they have lasted a long time in our so called throw away society,and have been used daily for re-heating and for cooking , would definitely reccommend the combination microwave manufactured by panasonic.

My wonderful mother bought me the halogen oven oh my goodness it is the best thing since Microwave! I was able to roast a chicken, which came out crispy, tender and so so tasty! I am so excited by it that I use it everyday to cook. Fantastic equipment! I believe every home should have one! Oh one more thing, I downloaded the cookbook on line for free which has so many simple, quick recipes. I also baked some gingerbread cookies as well.

It's difficult to believe how good it is!, 2010-03-13
We experienced bread from a domestic breadmaker for the first time on 5 February at a friend's house. My wife was very impressed - she had previously thought (and I think I probably shared her view) that these machines couldn't possibly be any good. Anyway she was so taken that we decided to buy one.

She did some online research and concluded the Panasonic SD255 was the one to go for - it clearly had the most consistent favourable reviews. We ordered one from Amazon. It arrived (prompt as ever) on 12 February and we have used it frequently and regularly ever since. We've made a variety of different loaves (although we still have a long way to go to work our way through the long menu) and we can only say we are absolutely delighted with the results. As there are only the two of us at home now we tend to go for the smallest of the 3 sizes.

Two of our sons have also been so impressed with our results that they, too, have bought one each from Amazon.

We can't recommend it enough!

Very versatile cooker, better than Remoska, 2010-03-10
Previous to this purchase I had bought a JML halogen oven and found it extremely useful, hardly ever needing to use my conventional oven, but the JML broke (the halogen light in the top is very vulnerable to splashes, which renders the whole thing useless, and it is not repairable). I set out to replace it immediately, and opted for a Grand Remoska (exclusive to Lakeland) - as I had heard people giving them high praise, but boy was I disappointed. The Remoska seems to me to be not very good value at all, costing nearly a hundred pounds, and I was very disappointed with what you get for the money - no grill racks included, a meagre so-called cook book, one very restrictive non-variable heat setting, takes ages to reach heat. After a couple of months - where the Remoska mainly languished in the cupboard, I decided to go for another halogen cooker, and plumped for the Andrew James one. Having now used it a couple of times I am delighted. It seems to be better quality and more efficient than the JML, the halogen light is better protected from splashes, and really it does cook quickly. The only slight letdown was the lack of instructions - mainly with regard to the steamer plate, which they leave to you to work out, which I haven't as yet. The lid stand is a big bonus, which the JML lacked. In conclusion, I would recommend this oven as a better alternative to both the Remoska and the JML.
