I was looking for an espresso machine for home. I already had a Morphy Richards 47507 at work. But chose this Treviso instead to great advantages. The Treviso is much cheaper, smaller (fits better on worktop), far less noisy, does not drip much after pouring the coffee and makes great coffee. You don't need to invest hundreds of pounds for a good espresso. Having tried both machines, I'd definitely recommend the Treviso.

Best cup of coffee around! I find that even though we like strong coffee, we can add more water than quoted thus having a larger cup of coffee which still has plenty of taste. We add coffee mate to it instead of milk - this enhances the taste even more.

I bought a coffee maker that had a milk frother and it was hopeless. I took it back and bought an ordinary filter coffee maker plus this Aerolatte frother. It is fantastic. perfect frothy milk for cappuccinos every time. Easy to use and clean and excellent value for money.

Great coffee maker, 2010-01-31
Never had or used one of these coffee makers before. I was fed up with bland filter and cafetiere efforts so I bought the 6 cup Bialetti.
I did my reasearch and looked at reviews on here and found them very helpfull. I also bought a Bodum milk frother and got some Tesco Finest Columbian Supremo Roast and Ground Coffee.
Firstly, I found the 'six cup' gave a max of 2 healthy mugs of coffee. If you want more... go another size up!
The Bodum frother is very good.... I fill to the live or just over with semi skim or skimmed milk, 2 to 2min 30seconds in the microwave (just the glass jug) and it is hot but not boiling... then froth it up.
Pack the coffee gently down with the bottom of a smaller mug or glass and dont over fill the pot with water, just fill to the line groved inside the pot. The pop on the stove to boil on a small ring.
I fill 2 mugs to about half full leaving a table spoon in the pot as this can be bitter and spoon in all the milk.
Best coffee I have ever made..... tried other types of coffee but tesco gets the nod for now.
This is a great option for a special coffee... highly recommended.

great coffee when used in the right way, 2010-02-28
i have been using this espresso machine for a few weeks now and i have found it to be very reliable.it makes great coffee if you do it right.you do not really need to do any heavy tamping to get good results but i have found that if you use a seperate tamp and give around 20 -30 pounds of pressure you will get a really thick crema layer as oppossed to light tamping..i noticed that a few have mentioned the vibration making your cups move around when using.. yes this does happen but my solution is very simple..just put a thin piece of sponge under your cup before using.this solves the moving cup proplem and also greatly reduces the noise from the pump//one important note...if you are really serious about good quality coffee then please grind your own beans just before preparing..only use pre-ground beans if you have no option..but grinding your own is the way to go..also try to use a burr grinder..try to pull the shot at between 23-28 seconds..a single shot takes the same amount of time to pull as a double shot..if you time the pull then you should start from the moment the coffee starts pouring out the spout...good luck..this is a great machine for the price and i would highly recommend it...

if you like coffee you'll love this, makes a really nice espresso, however, if you really want the authentic espresso go for the bialetti brika, it has the pressure system that will give it the creme. this is a really good addition to the mukka cappuccino maker as you can put a couple of extra shots into you cappuccino by using this.

I believe my fully automatic coffee machine decides on a time basis that it needs descaling rather than measured
furring up of the tubes etc. However I am not sufficiently confident not to engage in some descaling and to this end I follow the dictates of the machine and in any case it would go on flashing a light at me unless subjected to the treatment. There was no discernable difference (to me) in the coffee afterwards. Having grown up in very hard water area I feel qualified to make these assertions.
