It's difficult to believe how good it is!, 2010-03-13 We experienced bread from a domestic breadmaker for the first time on 5 February at a friend's house. My wife was very impressed - she had previously thought (and I think I probably shared her view) that these machines couldn't possibly be any good. Anyway she was so taken that we decided to buy one.
She did some online research and concluded the Panasonic SD255 was the one to go for - it clearly had the most consistent favourable reviews. We ordered one from Amazon. It arrived (prompt as ever) on 12 February and we have used it frequently and regularly ever since. We've made a variety of different loaves (although we still have a long way to go to work our way through the long menu) and we can only say we are absolutely delighted with the results. As there are only the two of us at home now we tend to go for the smallest of the 3 sizes.
Two of our sons have also been so impressed with our results that they, too, have bought one each from Amazon.
We can't recommend it enough!

Kenwood BM450, 2010-03-07 I've been able to make good wholemeal bread in this machine with little effort. I have followed the instructions carefully, which I've heard is important for best results. The machine looks good as well and it's reasonably simple to learn how to drive it.

New to breadmaking, 2010-02-26 I purchased this bread maker because it was recommended by a friend. The recipes in the booklet provided are limited, but good enough to start with. I have now made 6 loaves, and after having one which did not rise, and one which did rise but was like a brick (both tasted wonderful), the third was a success. I have now managed to replicate this success and whilst experimenting and altering the mixes slightly. A bit noisy to start with, so I don't use the delay start. The paddle leaves a very small hole and the bread comes out of the tin easily. I thoroughly recommend this product. I enjoy it so much I have had to put myself on a diet!

Compact Breadmaker. The smell of baking bread is a delight to the senses and now with the Morphy Richards breadmaker, baking your own bread is not only easy - it is also very quick. To make your own 1.5lb loaf, simply place all the ingredients in the non stick bread pan and the breadmaker will automatically mix, knead, prove and bake the loaf.
Excellent machine, 2010-03-11 We weren't sure we would get value out of bread making but at just under £40 we though it was worth a try. We have only bought the odd loaf since buying this and it is used three or four times a week.
The paddle does leave a hole in the bread but do I care? No. I would advise getting recipes from other sources than the instruction booklet (I use the forum on Money Saving Expert Old Style Saving) as quite a few of the recipes supplied use far too much sugar leaving the bread much too sweet to have with savoury food.
Simple to use and to clean.
A real boon in our household we would highly recommend this.

endless possibilities, 2010-03-11 One bad review almost put me off but fortunately I finally decided to buy it. It's a fantastic adventure to create your own bread. You get with this machine Kenwood recipe book, I use just the first very easy recipe and modify it for example by adding some bran, oats, rosemary, garlic, flaxseed or soya. When I add something I use the wholemeal program (3). Recently I made leavening and used it instead of yeast the bread was delicious.

Brilliant breadmaker, 2010-02-23 Can't recommend highly enough - makes delicous bread easily and kids happily have it for breakfast and school sandwiches - and eat more of it than they ever did of Hovis Best of Both or Waitrose own 50/50 loaves (our old supermarket staples).
Barely needs cleaning; fills house with delicious smell - the only thing it's not good for is our waistlines!

Fantastic bread everytime!!!, 2010-02-18 I bought this breadmaker after my last one eventually died. I decided i wanted an all singing all dancing breadmaker and not a cheap one. I love making bread and the smell is great after a hard day at work. With this breadmaker i have tried most of the recipes out of the book that came with it. the breadmaker is very easy to use and every loaf i have made has been fantastic. I have recommended this machine to everyone i know and got them to try the bread, no complaints. This is a fantastic machine and i will buy another one no questions asked!!!!!!

the answer to good bread, 2010-03-13 I don't cook. But recently, when visiting friends, we were presented with what I thought was excellent, fresh bread. I asked where they had bought it to which they responded that they had made it themselves with a Panasonic bread maker. I decided to buy one but first checked the reviews on Amazon. It has been a real success. Fresh bread every morning. Being only 2 of us we make the smallest size loaf. Definitely worth buying.
