After plenty of research I ended up buying the Bosch 6700. I am extremely happy with this hand blender. It is sturdy and solid and comes with great attachments. I would thoroughly recommend it to anyone.

I didn't intend to get a hand blender with jar attachment--already have the latter in the form of a min-blnder. but the mini-blender is now up for grabs, because this product does a much better job. And, it is easy to clean.

Pleased with this overall. The wizzy bit is much bigger than my previous blender, which is good as I use it mostly in pans to blend soups and sauces. No splashing either and easy to clean.

I bought this hand blender quite a few years ago and use it at least a few times a week. It is great for making small quantities of breadcrumbs and for blending soups - you can really keep control of how smooth or chunky to leave the texture. I use it a few times a week for blending tomato sauce for pasta (my littlest children do not like lumps of tomato) and also for blending up pestos and spice pastes for Thai curries.

I originally bought it for blending baby food. Its main advantage is that it is SO easy to clean compared to my food processor. It's a big task cleaning thoroughly into all a food processors ridges etc and having to clean a large blade and bowl - rinsing the blender under very hot water is so much simpler - dry and put in the drawer - easy!

You do need to remember to blend in deep saucepan, bowl or use the beaker provided and to insert the blender fully in before switching on or the liquid will fly everywhere. Also, be careful not use your fingers to dislodge anything that gets caught in the blade whilst keeping your other hand on the handle as a very tired friend did and inadvertantly pressed the pulse - mangling her finger very badly and necessitating a trip to casualty!

Apart from these human pitfalls I find the blender very useful - it certainly gets a lot more use than the food processor which takes up much needed cupboard space and sits gathering dust- it is also a lot cheaper!

Good for baby food. Easy to clean., 2010-03-15
I bought this mainly for the purpose of making baby food. It works great. Purees well. The accessories are usefull (like the tall jug that's just the right size to puree food using the hand blender and not get splattered). It's also very easy to clean as you can pull it all apart.
